OVG Facilities names Dezarae Andersen
General Manager of the Birch Run Expo Center
Birch Run, Michigan (September 20, 2017) – OVG Facilities, Managers of the Birch Run Expo Center, today named Dezarae Andersen as General Manager of the venue. Andersen is based in Birch Run and has been working at the Expo Center since May as the Sales, Marketing & Event Manager.
“Dezarae has strong ties in the community and an extensive background in hospitality and managerial leadership.” Said Doug Higgons, Managing Partner of OVG Facilities. “With her drive and motivation, we know she is the right fit to lead the team here at the Expo Center.”

Dezarae started her hospitality career in 1997 as a Hostess for DaVinci’s in Frankenmuth. As her passion for food and beverage grew, she held numerous titles of customer service representative and event server, to name a few, for Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth. From there she went on to manage a staff of over 20 people and handled the financials for a family-owned business. Before transiting over to the Expo Center, Andersen was the Senior Manager of Banquets and Events for the Frankenmuth Brewery for four years where she coordinated all aspects of the banquet and catering department. Andersen is currently wrapping up her business degree at Ferris State University and resides in Birch Run with her husband Kevin and four children.
“I am excited to start my new role at the Expo Center,” said Dezarae “As a proud member of this community it is important to me to see this place be successful and I intend to work hand-in- hand with the staff to do what I can to make that happen.”
OVG Facilities recently took over management of the 109,000-square foot multi-purpose venue and are in the transition process. Also, the management team is diligently working to secure new events, revamp the food and beverage offerings, implement a ticketing system and much more.
